Our project focused on designing and developing the official website for Carlton West, a premium residential development offering condo-style apartments in Ottawa. Situated conveniently adjacent to the vibrant Westboro area, Carlton West combines modern design with exceptional amenities, presenting a desirable living experience in the Real Estate industry.
The primary goal was to create an online presence that accurately reflects the property's quality and lifestyle, effectively attracting potential residents. The website needed to serve as a comprehensive digital brochure, showcasing the available units, building amenities, neighborhood features, and providing easy ways for interested individuals to get in touch or book a visit.
From a user experience perspective, the design prioritizes elegant visuals and intuitive navigation, ensuring a seamless journey for prospective tenants. We created key sections to present detailed information, including distinct pages for exploring available floor plans (Studio, 1, 2, 3 Bedroom types), an extensive gallery showcasing property images and potentially videos, a description of nearby attractions and services in the sought-after Westboro vicinity, a clear breakdown of the building's premium amenities, and accessible contact options. Lead generation is facilitated through dedicated forms, allowing users to easily inquire and book visits, specifying their preferences like apartment type and potential move-in date. The user interface was refined using design tools like Figma and Photoshop to ensure a high-quality presentation that mirrors the premium nature of the development, and the site is fully responsive for seamless browsing on any device.
Technically, the Carlton West website is built on a robust WordPress content management system powered by PHP and supported by a SQL database. This platform provides the client with flexibility and control for managing dynamic content such as unit availability updates, property news, and gallery additions. Frontend development utilized modern standards with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to deliver a visually appealing and performant site. Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) were integral for creating easy-to-manage structured data fields, crucial for handling complex property information like individual unit details, comprehensive amenity lists, and categorizing gallery items. Beyond core website development, our work included implementing thorough Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies from the outset to enhance the site's visibility in local searches for Ottawa real estate. This strategic SEO targeting helps connect Carlton West with its target audience more effectively when they search for condo and apartment rentals, particularly in the Westboro area.
